These first edition clones of Champion Trees, many of which are from Leelanau County, are available for sale for $5,000 a pair. The price includes delivery to your Leelanau County location and one-hour consultation by Terry Stanton, Marriage Tree heritage expert, on the care and maintenance of the two champion trees. Purchase of the trees is tax-deductible.

Clones of the famed Leland landmark cottonwood trees are also for sale through the generous work of David Milarch of Champion Trees International.

Not only are you purchasing a limited edition copy of the Leland Cottonwood, you are also purchasing a tree species that is known by tree experts the world over as one of the best environmental "scrubbers" of all time. If there's toxicity in the soil or in the air, cottonwoods are one of the best kinds of trees to clean that toxcity up.

Two other champion trees are available for sale with this project: the yellow birch, and red oaks from the Northern Michigan collection.

In addition to your pair of Champion Marriage Trees, a picture of you and your trees, along with a caption, will be included on our website's Marriage Tree Hall of Fame free of charge!

These Champion Marriage Trees are appoximately 10 feet tall and 2 1/2 inches around. The exact DNA duplicate of these Northern Michigan trees, many of which are from Leelanau County Champion are limited first edition lines.

These Champion Marriage Trees are not available in any local nurseries. They are being offered exclusively to our county by David Milarch of Champion Tree International.

David believes that these trees are superior stock to other types of sugar maples because they are genetic duplicates of trees in Leelanau County who have survived over 150 years.
